My greatest accomplishment in life, besides marrying Diane, is celebrating 32 years clean and sober, by the grace of God. It has not always been this way. From the age of 15 to 35, I had been on my own, a criminal, an active addict and alcoholic, in and out of many institutions; detoxes, rehabs, mental ward, jails and prisons. I’ve experienced homelessness and a sense of loneliness that no living soul should ever bare. I have fought my way out of that hell. I’m not obsessed and craving a fix or waking up hungover and wondering what happened to my face and money, or counting years, months and days until the parole board. I will take you on a journey from being a traumatized young boy to becoming a violent criminal, hopeless addict and convict to the man I am today — grateful for taking it one day at a time.
