Not My Life Story, But Pretty Close
David Jahr, APR is a distinguished ghostwriter and public relations (PR) master reforming health through the mind, body and soul. He has worked with five New York Times best-selling authors, brands, and related websites. He has also received an ESPY Award nomination for “Most Inspirational Sports Story of the Year” by ESPN. His most notable project was The Daniel Plan, working with Pastor Rick Warren and three celebrity doctors, which has helped thousands of people enhance their physical, and spiritual health. The Daniel Plan was a New York Times best-seller and continues to be on many Christian best-seller lists.
David is often called to lead the ghostwriting and PR campaigns for celebrity doctors and CEOs, or to introduce new products, services and brands. His work spans the wellness arena, including the nutraceutical industry, fitness, mental health, addiction recovery and spiritual growth.
Prior to ghostwriting, David had a 25-year career in public relations, including as a partner at a Top 10 firm in Orange County, California. David’s forte and media relations capabilities have received coverage in many of the top 25 consumer magazines, TV news / talk shows and newspapers. His firm also incorporates Media Training, preparing clients for their moment in the spotlight and monitoring feedback from the community.
David played college basketball, attending Westmont College in Santa Barbara before transferring and finishing his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he was a Journalism tutor and Associate Editor of the award-winning school newspaper, The Gateway. He has three daughters, each with wonderfully-unique characters, and is married to Heidi, a licensed marriage and family therapist, residing in Castle Rock, Colorado.
